The Dawiso 2025.1 Update: Smoother Workflows and Better Insights

The latest Dawiso release is here, bringing a suite of powerful new features and improvements designed to enhance usability, transparency, and efficiency in data governance. From brand-new dashboards to AI governance and expanded API capabilities, Dawiso 2025.1 is packed with updates that make working with data more intuitive and insightful than ever.

New Dashboards for Better Data Insights

We've revamped our existing dashboards and introduced two brand-new ones, offering more ways to track and analyze data within Dawiso.

Adoption Dashboard – Gain a clear understanding of how users are engaging with Dawiso. Track adoption trends across teams and organizational units, monitor visits and user activity, and uncover opportunities for improvement.

Adoption Dashboard

Asset Metrics Dashboard – Get a comprehensive view of your data landscape with detailed metrics on Business Domains, Data Products, Reports, and more. Growth charts and team ownership statistics provide deeper insights into how data is being managed.

Asset Metrics Dashboard

Alongside these additions, our existing dashboards have been redesigned:

Dawiso Overview Dashboard – A fresh look at key platform statistics, including object counts, user and space numbers, and activity details.

Dawiso Overview

My Objects Dashboard – A streamlined personal overview of stewarded and owned objects, offering quick role statistics and easy navigation.

All dashboards are fully customizable, allowing users to tailor their views to their specific needs.

Platform Enhancements and Optimizations

Expanded Object Limits in Diagrams

Previously, diagrams in lineage or entity-relationship views had object limits that prevented large-scale visualizations. With this update, Dawiso now supports thousands of objects in a single diagram, offering a more complete view of data relationships.

Create Button in Top Navigation Bar

A new Create button has been added for quick object creation. It’s context-aware, automatically filling fields like space, app, and parent object based on your current location in Dawiso, streamlining workflows and saving time.

Redesigned Object Detail View

The Object Detail window has been improved with a new three-tab structure: Details, Objects, and Relations, providing clearer organization and faster access to key information.

New Integrations and Documentation

Dawiso Slackbot

Ask Dawiso directly in Slack! Our new Slackbot allows users to retrieve information stored in Dawiso using natural language queries, delivering responses instantly within Slack.

Enhanced Documentation for Modeling

A new detailed guide on conceptual modeling is now available, making it easier to understand best practices and implementation strategies within Dawiso.

New Public API Endpoints

We’ve expanded our public API with additional endpoints to support enhanced data access and integration. Full details can be found in our API documentation: Dawiso API Docs.

Advanced Data Lineage Parsing

Understanding how data moves, transforms, and connects across systems is essential for accuracy, compliance, and trust in reports. Dawiso now offers enhanced data lineage parsing configurations, making lineage extraction from SQL code simpler and more accessible.

For environments without automated lineage capture, Dawiso provides optional third-party SQL parsers supporting SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, and BigQuery, allowing users to define custom parsing rules for SQL queries, scripts, and transformations.

AI Catalog: Bringing Transparency to AI

Aside product updates we want to introduce you new Dawiso AI Governance application, built using our low-code Packages feature. This application helps organizations stay compliant with the EU AI Act by structuring AI model documentation, tracking data flows, and ensuring transparency in decision-making processes. With Dawiso, you can seamlessly document AI models, assess regulatory risks, and maintain compliance—all in a single, centralized platform.

The new AI Catalog in Dawiso offers a structured approach to AI governance:

  • Separate tracking for AI models and AI use cases to ensure clarity in documentation.
  • Visualized data flow from primary systems to AI use cases, helping track sensitive data, GDPR compliance, and security measures.
  • Regulatory alignment with frameworks like the EU AI Act to assess AI-related risks and compliance.

Gone are the days of scattered documentation across Jira, SharePoint, and Excel. Dawiso consolidates AI governance into a single platform, making compliance and transparency effortless.
